Description

Hi friends today we are going to see an excellent story game that is L.A Noire, its a detective action adventure video game the player takes the character as cole phelps and jack kelso who are protagonists and great detectives of the game. This game was produced by Rockstars publishers as we know that how the game produced bye Rockstar publishers are. Now, lets go deep into the game.

L.A. Noire is a neo-noir detective action-adventure video game developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games. L.A. Noire is set in Los Angeles in 1947 and challenges the player, controlling a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer, to solve a range of cases across five divisions. Players must investigate crime scenes for clues, follow up leads, and interrogate suspects, and the player's success at these activities will impact how much of each case's story is revealed.

The game draws heavily from both the plot and aesthetic elements of film noir—stylistic films made popular in the 1940s and 1950s that share similar visual styles and themes, including crime and moral ambiguity—along with drawing inspiration from real-life crimes for its in-game cases, based upon what was reported by the Los Angeles media in 1947. The game uses a distinctive colour palette, but in homage to film noir it includes the option to play the game in black and white.

L.A. Noire is notable for using Depth Analysis's newly developed technology MotionScan, whereby the actors portraying the game's characters were recorded by 32 surrounding cameras to capture facial expressions from every angle. The technology is central to the game's interrogation mechanic, as players must use the suspects' reactions to questioning to judge whether or not they are lying. L.A. Noire was the first video game to be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Upon release, the game received wide acclaim for its advances in storytelling and facial animation technology. As of February 2012, both PC and console versions had shipped nearly 5 million copies combined.

Gameplay

L.A. Noire is an action-adventure neo-noir crime game played from a third-person perspective. Players complete cases—linear scenarios with set objectives—to progress through the story. The game also features a mode which allows players to freely roam the open world. In this mode, players can also engage in optional activities. The world features multiple landmarks, which are all based on real monuments from 1940s Los Angeles.

The game takes place in the city of Los Angeles, in the year 1947, with players assuming the role of Los Angeles Police Department officer, and later detective, Cole Phelps. The game starts with Phelps as a uniformed patrolman, and follows his career as he advances through the police department bureaus (desks) of Traffic, Homicide, Vice and Arson. Each desk gives players a new partner who will help Phelps in his investigation of a number of cases based on a specific type of crime. The game assigns players with cases that they must solve. After each case, players receive a rating of 1–5 stars depending on their performance in both interrogations and searching for clues.

In some cases, when searching an area for clues to the crime, players can also find newspapers. Besides reading the story, the newspapers give access to a short cinematic that either covers a part of the game's overarching plot or a flashback to Phelps' war memories. Near the end of the final desk, players assume control of private investigator Jack Kelso, who becomes the player character for most of the rest of the game; although different in appearance and personality, he controls identically to Phelps.

The game blends investigative elements with fast-paced action sequences, including chases, combat, interrogations and gunfights. Players use melee attacks and firearms to fight enemies, and may run, jump or use vehicles to navigate the world. In combat, auto-aim and a cover system can be used as assistance against enemies. Should player characters take damage, the character's health will gradually regenerate. Weapons can only be used in appropriate circumstances, such as during firefights.

When driving vehicles, players have the option to skip directly to the destination by nominating their partner as the driver. Players can also ask the partner for directions. In addition to storyline cases, players may engage in an optional 40 side-investigations, known as Street Crimes, that are not related to the case that they are working on. Some street crimes will feature characters from previous cases.

    Hi friends today I am going to introduce you an excellent PC Game with excellent story that is Life is Strange It has 5 episodes each one is 2.5 GB in size.Going in deep.

    Life Is Strange is an episodic graphic adventure video game developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Square Enix. It is available for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and consists of five episodes released periodically throughout 2015.

    The game's plot focuses on Maxine Caulfield, a photography student who discovers that she has the ability to rewind time at any moment, leading her every choice to enact the butterfly effect. After having foreseen an approaching storm, Max must take on the responsibility to prevent it from destroying her town. The player's actions will adjust the narrative as it unfolds, and reshape it once allowed to travel back in time. Fetch quests and making environmental changes represent the forms of puzzle solving in addition to using branching choices for conversation.

    Story and character arc serve as the central point in the game rather than traditional graphic adventure tropes like point-and-click puzzles. The voice recording sessions took place in Los Angeles, California.

    During its release, Life Is Strange received generally favourable reviews commending the character development, rewind game mechanic and tackling of taboo subjects. It won the BAFTA Games Award for Best Story, the Peabody-Facebook Futures of Media Award and The Game Awards’ Games for Impact Award. Common criticisms included the slang that was used, poor lip-syncing in earlier episodes, and tonal inconsistencies in the story. It had sold one million digital copies by the end of July 2015.

    Gameplay

    Life Is Strange is a graphic adventure played from a third-person view. The mechanic of rewinding time allows the player to redo any action that has been taken. The player can examine and interact with objects, which enables puzzle solving in the form of fetch quests and making changes to the environment. Items that are collected before time travelling will be kept in the inventory after the fact.

    The player can explore various locations in the fictional setting of Arcadia Bay and communicate with non-playable characters. Dialogue exchanges can be rewound while branching options are used for conversation. Once an event is reset, the details provided earlier are permitted to avail themselves in the future.

    In some instances, choices in dialogue will alter and affect the story through short or long-term consequences. For each one of the choices, something good in the short-term could turn out worse later.

    Description

    Portal 2 is a 2011 first-person puzzle-platform video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. It is the sequel to Portal (2007) and was released on April 19, 2011, for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Before the game's release on Steam, the company released the Potato Sack, a second multi-week alternate reality game, involving 13 independently developed titles which culminated in a distributed computing spoof to release Portal 2 several hours early.

    The storyline introduces new characters, including Wheatley (Stephen Merchant) and Cave Johnson (J. K. Simmons). Ellen McLain reprised the role of GLaDOS. Jonathan Coulton and The National each produced a song for the game.

    Portal 2 also includes a two-player cooperative mode, in which the robotic player-characters Atlas and P-Body are each given a portal gun and are required to work together to solve puzzles. Valve provided post-release support for the game, including additional downloadable content and a simplified map editor to allow players to create and share test chambers with others.

    Although some reviewers initially expressed concerns about the difficulty of expanding Portal into a full sequel, Portal 2 received critical acclaim, particularly for its writing, pacing, and dark humor. The voice work of McLain, Merchant, and Simmons were also praised, as were the new gameplay elements, the challenging but surmountable learning curve, and the additional cooperative mode. Some journalists ranked Portal 2 among the best games of 2011, and several named it their Game of the Year. Portal 2 has since been hailed as one of the greatest video games of all time.

    Gameplay

    Portal 2 is a first-person perspective puzzle game. This game include Three campaign modes

    Campaign Modes

  • Single Player Campaign: The player takes the role of chell in this Campaign mode , who explore and interacts with the environments and overcome the dangers and hazards. When player dies in this mode , the game restart from the previous checkpoint.
  • Cooperative Campaign Mode: In the mode the player plays as one of the two robots Atlas and P-Body, these to cooperate with each other in order to complete the level. When the player dies in this mode, he will re spawn after sometime with restarting the game.
  • Community-Developed Mode: In this mode the player plays as simplistic humanoid
  • These four characters can explore and interact with the environment. Characters can withstand limited damage but will die after sustained injury. There is no penalty for falling onto a solid surface, but falling into bottomless pits or toxic pools kills the player character immediately.

    The goal of both campaigns Cooperative Campaign and Single Player Campaign modes is to explore the Aperture Science Laboratory—a complicated, malleable mechanized maze. While most of the game takes place in modular test chambers with clearly defined entrances and exits, other parts occur in behind-the-scenes areas where the objective is less clear.

    The initial tutorial levels guide the player through the general movement controls and illustrate how to interact with the environment. The player must solve puzzles using the 'portal gun' or 'Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device', which can create two portals connecting two distant surfaces depicted as matte white, continuous, and flat. Characters can use these portals to move between rooms or to "fling" objects or themselves across a distance. Outlines of placed portals are visible through walls and other obstacles for easy location.

    Game Elements::

    There are several game elements included in this game they are:

    Thermal Discouragement Beams (lasers):These thermal beams are used to kill the enemies by redirecting this beams towards the enemies.

    Excursion Funnels (tractor beams):These tractor beams are in funnels shape use to transfer form one portal to another portal and also used to catch use when flying using aerial faith plates.

    Hard Light Bridges:These Light Bridges acts has the normal bridges which used created a bridge between portals on great heights.

    Aerial Faith Plates:These plates are use to launch the player or objects through the air and sometimes into portals.

    The Weighted Storage Cube:These are redesigned and there are new types: Redirection Cubes, which have prismatic lenses that redirect laser beams, spherical Edgeless Safety Cubes, an antique version of the Weighted Storage Cube used in the underground levels, and a cube-turret hybrid created by Wheatley after taking control of Aperture.

    The Weighted Companion Cube:These reappear briefly.These functionality is same as weighted storage cube with slight different.

    Pneumatic Diversity Vents:These are shown to transport objects and transfer suction power through portals, but these do not appear in the final game.

    All of which can be transmitted through portals and also used to open locked doors, or help or hamper the character from reaching the exit.

    Paint Like Gels::

    This can be dispensed from pipes and can be transported through portals which is use to impart certain properties to surfaces or objects coated with them. They are some types of gels with their unique properties they are as follows:

    Orange Propulsion Gel:The player can use this gel inorder to cross surfaces more quickly

    Blue Repulsion Gel:The player can use this gel to bounce from a surface to greater heights.

    White Repulsion Gel:This gel is used to make allow surfaces to accept portals

    Only one type of gel can be effective on a certain surface at a time only. Some surfaces, such as grilles, cannot be coated with a gel. Water can block or wash away gels, returning the surface or object to its normal state.

    The game is centered on Jack Joyce, the protagonist, as he tries to stop Paul Serene, a close friend and CEO of Monarch Solutions, from enforcing the End of Time after a failed time-machine experiment that gave jack time manipulation powers. The game is mostly a third-person shooter but includes elements of a platform game in less action –oriented segments.

    The game features episode of an integrated live-action television show, featuring the actual actors of the characters, interacting with the player’s choices, displaying the outcome of the choice made.

    Shawn Ashmore, Aidan Gillen and Lance Reddick played important roles in the game. The game uses a new engine developed by Remedy, the Northlight engine, and a technology called Digital Molecular Matter. The game was announced in mid-2013 and was set to be released in 2015 but the release was delayed in order to reduce the competiion with its fellow Xbox One exclusives.

    This game received a generally positive reception, with critics praising the game’s graphics, gameplay, presentation, and story Critics generally have mixed opinions regarding the plat forming elements, the convergence of video game and TV show, and the overall quality of the TV show. The PC version was criticized for its technical issues. Quantum Break was the best-selling new intellectual property published by Microsoft for the Xbox One.

    Review

    In this game the player plays as Jack Joyce, who has time manipulation powers in a world where time stutters, making everything freeze except Joyce. Players face a variety of enemies, including typical Monarch security guards; Strikers, who are equipped with specially-designed suits which allow them to manipulate time; and Juggernauts, heavily-armored equipped with very strong firearms.

    Different enemies have different behaviors, and the game requires players to deploy different tactics and strategies in order to defeat them. In order to fight them the players can make use of various offensive and defensive abilities. Jack can find four of firearms: pistols, assault rifles, shotguns and carbine rifles.

    He is also equipped with an arsenal of time manipulating powers, which increase his efficiency in combat . The game features several types of collectible known as “narrative objects”, including quantum ripples, documents, intel, computers, and media which also give players additional insight into the game’s story and background.

    Players can also collect “chronon sources”, which can be used as experience points and to purchase power enhancements.This game also include less action-oriented segments, where players have to solve environmental puzzles while progressing through the game like a 3D plat former.

    While going further there will be obstacles that block the player’s way. jack can overcome them by slowing down or stopping time, so that he can proceed without getting hurt. He can also revive frozen non-playable characters.

    In the game , the video game portion tells the story of the protagonists while the show tells the story of the antagonists. Players can make choice as the antagonist in the beginning of each episode of the TV show, also known as “junction points”. These decisions influence the state of the game. As Paul Serene has precognitive power, players can view the result and consequence of each choice before making the decision.

    Abilities and Powers::

    Abilities to Offence::

    Time Stop::freezes time around enemies with a time bubble. If the player shoots an opponent trapped in the bubble, the damage is amplified and will kill the enemy when the bubble vanishes after a short period of time.

    Time Blast::This ability is used to levitates enemies and freezes them.

    Abilities to Defense::

    Time Shield::This defensive ability is used to deflects all incoming attacks from the enemies. It is very useful ability in the game which protect the player from death.It is mostly useful when no.of enemies surrounded the player.

    Description

    Heavy Rain is an interactive drama action-adventure video game developed by Quantic Dream and published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3 in February 2010.

    The game is a film noir thriller, featuring four diverse protagonists involved with the mystery of the Origami Killer, a serial killer who uses extended periods of rainfall to drown his victims. The player interacts with the game by performing actions highlighted on screen related to motions on the controller, and in some cases, performing a series of quick time events during fast-paced action sequences.

    The player's decisions and actions during the game will affect the narrative. The main characters can be killed, and certain actions may lead to different scenes and endings.

    Heavy Rain was a critical and commercial success, winning multiple Game of the Year awards and selling over three million copies. A film adaptation of the game is currently in development.

    Gameplay

    Heavy Rain is an action-adventure game, requiring the player to move the character and have him or her interact with the objects or other non-player characters on the scene to progress the story. The game is divided into several scenes, each centering on one of four playable characters. The choices the player makes or the actions performed or not performed will affect later scenes in the game.

    There is no immediate "game over" in Heavy Rain; the game will progress to a number of different endings depending on the sum of the player's performance even if all the characters become incapacitated in some manner. Once the game is complete, the player can return to earlier scenes and replay them, possibly altering the events as they play through other chapters.

    Within most scenes, the player can control the main character by moving them around the environment; they can also hold down a button to see what thoughts are going through the character's mind, and trigger them to hear an internal monologue on that thought. When the player is near an object or another character they can interact with, they will be presented with a context sensitive icon that represents what control they need to do. These controls include pressing a button on the DualShock controller, moving the analogue sticks in a specific manner, or rotating the motion-sensitive controller in a specific way; in the version with PlayStation Move support, further actions based on the Move controllers are also present.

    These actions may lead to additional actions to fully complete the interaction. Some scenes impose a timer on the player, requiring them to complete the necessary actions in time to avoid the death or incapacitation of that character. In other scenes, the player does not have full control of the character but must instead be prepared to respond to these icons in the manner of quick time events, such as during a hand-to-hand fight or while driving frantically on the wrong side of the road.

    Game Characters::

    There are four main playable characters. The player controls one character at a time, generally playing different characters in each chapter of the game.

    Ethan Mars:Ethan is an architect with a wife and two sons. Two years prior to the main story, his elder son, Jason, dies in a car accident that leaves Ethan in a six-month coma. Now awake, Ethan remains depressed and stricken with grief. He suffers from agoraphobia and lives alone, estranged from his wife Grace Mars and distant from his other son, Shaun. Ethan soon discovers that Shaun may become the next victim of the Origami Killer, and is forced to go through five trials (danger, suffering, brutal suffering, murder and sacrifice). He is played, voiced by, and modeled after Pascal Langdale.

    Scott Shelby:Shelby is a former police officer and Marine who suffers from asthma. He is currently working as a private investigator conducting an investigation into the Origami Killer. His partner throughout the latter part of the game is Lauren Winter, the mother of the Origami Killer's second latest victim, Johnny Winter. He is played, voiced by, and modeled after Sam Douglas.

    Norman Jayden:Jayden is an FBI profiler sent from Washington to support the police force with their investigation into the Origami Killer. Jayden possesses an apparatus which consists of experimental augmented reality glasses and a single right hand glove called ARI, or "Added Reality Interface". This allows him to rapidly investigate crime scenes and analyze evidence. He is also struggling with an addiction to the drug triptocaine, which helps him cope with the mental side effects of using ARI. Norman's partner is police lieutenant Carter Blake, but due to their contradictory opinion of the Origami Killer's identity, Norman develops an obvious disliking of Blake. He is played, voiced by, and modeled after Leon Ockenden.

    Madison Paige:Madison is a young photojournalist living alone in the city. Suffering from chronic insomnia and nightmares, she occasionally checks into motels, as they are the only place she can properly sleep. She eventually finds herself involved in the latest Origami Killer case, conducting her own investigations. She also becomes a good friend of Ethan, mending his wounds and helping him with trials; in fact, two of the endings show them together (in a time of either grief or absolute happiness). She was modeled after Jacqui Ainsley, who provided her body motion capture, but her facial motion capture and voice was performed by actress Judi Beecher.

    Lauren Winter:She is the mother of Johnny Winter, one of the victims of the Origami Killer. She works as a prostitute from her apartment. Further into the plot, she becomes a more major character.

    System Requirements

    This game is not available for PC , it runs on PS3 you need PlayStation 3 inorder to play this game. This is updated as soon as we hear an announcement that it is coming to PC.
